The very first 100 comments are for free.

The Standard plan

€3 – €12 per month, for each one of the first two staff users.

Example: three staff users cost €12 + €12 + €24 = €48 (without discounts).

What does €3 – €12 mean? That's because we offer up to 75% discounts for developing countries and non-commercial usage. 75% discounts of €12, is €3. More details a bit below.

Each €6 – €24 you pay adds:

  • 50 000 monthly page views or more, if the servers have spare capacity

Free for non-commercial Open Source

We'll host your open source project's community for free. Or for self cost price, if we're short of money and your project has relatively high hosting costs. (Self cost price is probably less than €3 per month.) However, if your organization is a for profit company, you pay as normal.

Talkyard itself is open source software; you can install it on your own server.

For the Standard plan.

  • Non-profits and hobbyists: 50%

  • Developing countries: up to 67%.

  • Discounts are combined up to in total 75%, for example, €3 instead of €12

Discount examples:

  • A woman in Nairobi in Kenya, Africa, sells clothes she's making, online. She sets up a support forum for her customers, for €4 per month (developing country 67% discounts of €12 = €4).

  • A not-for-profit community organization in a town in India, with 5 staff users and 500 other members, pays €24 per month. (€3 + €3 for the first two staff users, €6 + €6 + €6 = €18 for the next three).

  • A company in the US, with 4 staff users, pays €72 per month (2 * €12 for the first two staff users, and 2 * €24 for the next two. No discounts).
