We'll host your open source project's community for free, or self cost price.
(Talkyard itself is open source too.)
You can send us feedback about the plans and pricing. Do they work okay for your use case?
The Open Source plan
We'll host your open source project's community for free. Or for self cost price, if we're short of money and your project has relatively high hosting costs. (Self cost price is probably less than €5 per month.)
If there're non open source parts of your project e.g. you sell enterprise extensions / enterprise add-ons, then use the Standard plan. Because then you're apparently a money making business :- )
Talkyard itself is open source software; you can install it on your own server.
The Blog Comments plan
€0 if your blog gets less than 24 comments and 24 000 page views per year.
Otherwise €8 – €24 pear year, for up to 240 comments and 240 000 page views per year.
Otherwise the standard price plan, starting at €4 – €12 per month.
The Standard plan
€4 – €12 per month, for each one of the first two staff users.
€8 – €24 for each additional staff user (staff user 3, staff user 4, and so on).
So, one staff user costs €4 – €12, two costs €8 – €24 (in total), and three costs €16 – €48 (in total). And, €4 – €12 is a price range, because there're discounts for development countries: €4. But not for places like USA and Norway, then you'd pay the full price: €12.
Unlimited members and public replies.
Each €8 – €24 you pay adds:
50 000 monthly page views or more if the servers have spare capacity
2 000 monthly private replies *
(* With private replies, we mean chat messages and new topics and replies, visible only to community members. If someone posts more than 100 private replies in a single day, those above-100 replies by him/her don't count, are for free.)
Full feature set. (Enterprise login will cost extra, see below.)
Single Sign-On via API
An API for your chat bots etc (not implemented)
Integrates with everything, via Zapier (not implemented)
For the Standard plan.
Non-profits and hobbyists: 50%
Developing countries: up to 67%.
Discounts are combined (up to in total 83%).
A woman in Nairobi in Kenya, Africa, sells clothes she's making, online. She sets up a support forum for her customers, for €4 per month (developing country discounts).
A not-for-profit community organization in a town in India, uses the Standard plan, with 5 staff users and 500 other members, for €16 per month. (€4 + €4 for the first two staff users, €8 + €8 + €8 = €24 for the next three — because, developing country discounts. So, €32. But then there's a 50% non-profit discount = €16 in total).
A company in the US, with 4 staff users, pays €72 per month (2 * €12 for the first two staff users, and 2 * €24 for the next two. No discounts).
Later, there'll be business login: Active Directory, SAML, Okta, etcetera. €2 per user and month, first 25 users will be for free. Volume discounts.
